Tas (or anyone else who has gone to Tibet) –
I am buying my ticket tonight and leaving on Thursday… I just decided to do this this morning while I was at the Panda Base, its very convenient living 2 hours from Lahsa (by plane)….
Anywho, I am looking for advice on Tibet winter travel. I noticed that day time temps look good, but at night it is a wee bit chilly. I didn’t find any info about snow or poor conditions though. What is your experience for Tibet in April? Icy, cold and a pain in the butt to travel through? Is it possible to get to Mt. Everest at this time of year?
Any place that wouldn’t be in the LP that you would recommend seeing?
Oh and I am going for approx 8 days.
cheers!
