Toronto or Buffalo to Paris
Thu, 08/12/2004 - 20:23
Hi,
I am going to France from Sept 30 to Dec 16 (or thereabouts) and am looking for any advice on finding the least expensive tickets (wife and child going too). Would be nice to leave from Toronto but will go from Buffalo if fare is that much better.
Thanks.
Also looking for inexpensive train tickets in France.

Consider Flyzoom and the following itinerary:
YYZ-CDG Oct. 1
LGW-YYZ Dec. 12 (Flyzoom doesn’t offer YYZ-CDG service in December).
This would cost about $665 Canadian per person.
You’d have to get to London on your own for the return, either with a cheap flight or by Eurostar. Figure about $100 CAD per person which includes transport to the airport, plus an overnight stay near Gatwick or Victoria Station (maybe $150 CAD total for a budget B&B).
I checked Air Canada briefly and it seems it would cost a great deal more than this option, but I might be overlooking something. You might be able to find a deal from Buffalo, but I doubt it would be cheap.
Also consider going to/from London, and handling the London-Paris part on a separate ticket entirely. See the links I mentioned here:

Thank you very much for this information! I just got your message and will check these sites. We had considered flying to London.
