I’m going to europe for two weeks. I was looking at rail passes, but it actually seems less expensive to fly around europe for my itinerary than take the trains. I want to visit Dublin, London, and Paris, with maybe a day or two in Scotland. It seems cheaper to just fly between the cities. It’s my first trip, obviously, but I just want to make sure I’m not mis-perceiving the cost.
Also, I’m just curious what other people’s opinions are. I am planning to mainly stay in these large cities, with the occasional day-trip, given my time frame and since it is my first trip. I don’t want to get to bogged down with travelling between countries. Does planning to visit 3 or 4 cities seem like enough or too much?
