Transit time between NYC Airports
Tue, 02/21/2006 - 11:59
Hi,
Can anyone give me a rough idea of the time it would take (and how I would go about it) to get from both LGA and EWR to JFK? I am looking at a flight that gives five hours to make it with the onward destination being international. Is this enough time? It is on a Saturday afternoon. Thanks in advance.

LGA to JFK would be the better chose, as both are in Queens.
As long as your incoming flight is on time, it shouldn’t be a problem.
There is a shuttle bus that takes you between the two airports.
Info:

Do not try doing a transfer from ewr to jfk.Even by cab it’s going to be about an hour+ ride!Lga-JFk can be done via the shuttle mentioned above and also in a cab for about $15

Should be $20 not $15 for the cab sorry

The port authority has train connection instructions that include EWR to JFK, and the reverse. Its at http://www.panynj.go…
They don’t appear at first glance to have a time estimate, but I haven’t used the site recently, nor made that connection.
Madrid, Toledo
Dublin, Dingle, Dublin
Bruges, Ardennes, Bastogne, Brussels
London
Charleville-Mézières, Reims
However, from EWR, you have to go from EWR air train -> NJ transit/Amtrack train to Penn Station -> Penn station LIRR to Jamaica -> JFK airtrain from Jamaica.
You need a metro card for the Airtrain to JFK, a LIRR ticket for Penn station to Jamaica, and a ticket for the EWR to Penn station.
Also the trains don’t run as frequently on the weekend.
