Traveling from Berlin to Budapest
Fri, 03/17/2006 - 13:58
I will be in Berlin for the World Cup and want to travel to Budapest. What is the best way to get from Berlin to Budapest and roughly how long is the trip? Sorry if this has been discussed earlier.

Use http://reiseauskunft…
for schedules. It’s about 12 hours, so look into an overnight train or flying. Check recent posts on the "cheap flights" forum as I think there are some new low fare carriers on this route.
There are several search engines that were recently posted on the cheap flights board that are terrific, and allow you to look at budget flights between various cities quite easily—- really, those who posted these search engines have earned my gratitude!
I will be in Berlin for the World Cup and then traveling to Budapest as well! I’m taking an overnight train, and find that www.bahn.de is awesome at looking for international train info

Air Berlin, Easyjet, and Condor on the route. Probably Lufthansa and Malev as well.
