Travelocity 9/12-month fares
Fri, 02/18/2005 - 10:45
i regularly use travelocity to get to europe…
i can find great fares with fare rules with a 9 or 12 month validty (ie BA to IAD-LON)
how ever i can not get the reservation system to give me a return date option more than a 2-3 months after departure,,
my question is: Does anyone know How can I take advantage of these travelocity fares and return at the limit of the fare vallidity? +\- 4 months in my case ..
thanks..

The rules for the particular fare you are talking about say under Sasons: 30MAY-31AUG. SAME DATES APPLY EACH YEAR.
That is the next month after Aug’05 when it is valid is May’06 and travelocity.com does not seem to look so far ahead. It is a glitch, because it should be Ok to book a ticket as long as the fist segment is less then a year ahead, and the last one is less then a year from the first. But probably the only workaround is to call either Travelocity or BA and see if they can book this fare manually.
Have you tried the fare at ba.com?
