Hi I bought the 15 day EuroRail Global and now I am having trouble finding out how to make reservations…Does anyone know what the best site for this is? What the prices to expect.

Thanks!

You can buy reservations on any of the travel agency websites that sell railpasses. However, you’ll pay inflated prices for the reservations plus shipping and handling which will at least double the price — and if you change your plans (like sleep in for an extra 1/2 hour one morning) the reservation is usually wasted. A much better choice is to buy the reservations you need at the train station in Europe. This list, from Rick Steve’s site, is the best I know for prices — both for buying in Europe and for buying from a travel agency. http://www.ricksteve…

Most European trains do not require reservations. I only buy a reservation if the specific train I want to take requires one. With thousands of trains a day, you can usually avoid reservations by taking slightly slower regional and local trains. Express trains between major cities usually require reservations, so you’ll probably end up taking at least a few trains that do.

You can’t really be planning 11 cities in 18 days???
