Trips from Rome?
Wed, 12/27/2006 - 06:47
Are there any bus services providing journeys between Rome – Pisa, Pisa – Florence, Florence – Venice? I tries searching on the internet and it was hard, especially when most websites explain in Italian.

You can try http://www.eurolines… but I think the train is the best option. I’ve takin the train between Rome and Florence (2.5 hrs), Florence and Pisa (1 hr), and Florence and Venice (3.5 hrs).
I agree with Nivid. Train is a better option than bus in Italy. There are dozens of trains each day on the routes you mentioned.
If you watch the Trenitalia.com site you can often find specials. But even the regular prices aren’t that expensive, considering the distances.
just to add to what Nivid said, the ride from Rome- pisa is pretty short one, with great views.
i took it a few times, and i would again!
Since you are someone who seems very familiar with Italy, I was wandering if you could help me out. I have placed some posts asking for advice on itineraries as well as hotels to stay in Italy. We are travelling into Rome, mid-July, and plan on spending three weeks in Italy. I have 2 kids, ages 4 and 7, so I am looking for places that are kid friendly, and adult interesting…I think we would plan on heading North from Rome.
Thank you so much!
