For a week, just about anything will do — after all, you’ll probably only actually be toting it on your back one or two days.  Unless you’re planning on more backpack trips in the future, I’d be heading to the Walmart, Target (check both the luggage section and the sporting goods section) or a discount sporting goods store for something comfortable that will hold all your gear.
