UK Working Holidaymaker Visa
Tue, 02/22/2005 - 17:07
I’m a Canadian going to work in the UK and travel around for a few months this summer. I’m planning on just getting to the UK and travelling until I want to stay somewhere/find work (probably not in London).
The visa application says that you have to list where you will be staying in the UK… has anyone successfully gotten this visa without putting this information down? Should I just make it up?
yeah just put london….it doesnt matter, i dont know why its required, i ran around all over the place before i finally fell in love and settled in brighton, which i totally recommend if your looking for a cool seaside city…..very down to earth, bohemian, artsy and the best part of all, the beach!!!!…..are you doing swap? or getting the visa on your own?
My friends and I had planned from the get go to head to Edinburgh, but we put in that we didn’t have a permanent location. They don’t care. To be honest, if you’re commonwealth and don’t have a record, you’re fine.
I think that you mean the address where you will be staying or family/friends who you could stay with. I have filled out the application before. I did it with SWAP so they give you an address to use. You could use the address and name of a hostel or hotel that you will stay at. I wrote the address for BUNAC (British Universities 16 bowling green lane, london.) You should phone up an information line about it though. You may be able to use BUNAC without being involved in the programme.
