URUGUAY
Tue, 02/08/2005 - 07:32
hi all!!! my background is uruguayan but i’m australia born and i have been to uruguay 4 times and i love it!!! the food, and the price of everything is so good.
i’m wondering if any1 in this forum has been there? and what they thought of it because not many people visit uruguay. and i think its worth a stop if you go to south america…
What is it there in Uruguay which makes it so attractive?
The food is excellent in Uruguay, there is also a place called punta de leste, which is where all the rich people from Argentina and Brazil go and holiday its very nice. the first soccer world cup was held and won by Uruguay, at the "estadio centenario". the culture is excellent, it is very cheap to visit, Uruguay also holds its own carnivale, the music is excellent, there is gauchos (cowboys). alcohol is so,so cheap. go and see for yourself.
I’ve been, though only briefly. The nicest people on my trip to S. America (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile) were Uruguayans.
