Greetings, I just joined this website! I have been frantically trying to contact italian consulates both here and in the US to try and obtain a visa to study. It looks as if I will not be able to do so while I am here, and the bureacracy is just terrible.

Does anyone have any advice on other ways that I can remain in italy for the remainder of my stay, until March? I am currently in on the 90 day tourist stamp. I heard that it is possible to leave the EU, for example go to Switzerland for a day, and then return with a fresh 90 days.

I am really reaching here, any ideas!?

You can remain in the Schengan Union for 90/180 days, which means you have to exit for 90 days.
