My husband’s friend who is a bit of a conspiracy theorist warned us that we should have an International Drivers License for driving in Britain. He is under the impression that the govt can seize our driver’s license, and then we’ll be in all kinds of trouble. First of all, we are just people on a "holiday" I can’t imagine why the British govt would want to take an American citizen’s drivers license away. Second, even if for whatever reason, they did, I’ve still got my passport, so what difference does it make anyway?
I would just like to refute his statement, anyone have info on this?
I’m not the least concerned about having my license confiscated. Or does he really know soemthing I don’t?
