Utrecht to Brussels Airport by night
Mon, 08/02/2004 - 04:43
I need to travel from Utrech to Brussels by night coz I have to catch a flight @ 9.20am. What is best way to travel keeping in mind a low budget?

DB timetable
From: Utrecht
To: Brussels Airport
There is a connection Utrecht Centraal dep 03:04 Bruxelles-Nat.-Aerop. arr 07:42.
Remark: If you fly with Ryanair: they fly from Charleroi – not Brussels. No chance to reach such an early flight from Utrecht in this case.
is it better to buy the tickets beforehand? or can i safely buy the tickets at the train station?
Don’t know if you can buy an international ticket in Utrecht from a ticket machine. I doubt that a counter will be open there at 3am.
Thus you may need by beforehand at the train station (evening before or so) as this will be just not possible at 3am.
No train in the above schedule has compulsory reservation. I’m even not sure if you can reserve at all. Thus you will be always able to enter the trains. And I can’t imagine that all seats are occupied that early in the morning.
In ams the machines will sell you an internation ticket i believe.I’m not sure if that would be the case here…
Here’s the hours for the ticket office
Opening times Ticket office Railway Station Utrecht International:
mon. – sat. 8.00 – 21.00
sun. 8.15 – 21.00
I would just buy my tickets at the rail station ahead of time im sure you could buy the ticket at any NS station…
