A vacation in Denmark..
Thu, 05/18/2006 - 06:20
Hi,
I’m thinking of visiting Denmark in June. I’m staying in Copenhagen for a week or two maybe. I’ve already booked my ticked, a good deal with lessno.com, and i’ve got almost everything arranged. Except the following fact.. I have no friends there and don’t know almost any particular places of interest to go or visit .. I was wondering if you could tell me of some fun places to go and maybe some historical sites to visit there.. or at least could you suggest a website where I could find information like this.
And there’s this issue I’m a little worried about.. my stay there will coincide with the World Cup..I’m a football fan myself although I’m not that mad about it, but I am wondering how vielent some football fans are in their passion.. And although Denmark are not taking part in the World Cup(as far as I know), do you you think that there’s any risk and should I be more cautious ?

If you’re really worried, then don’t wear your FK jersey and don’t talk about football in sports pubs. And don’t draw any cartoons of Muhammed. Otherwise you should be just fine.

Danish hooligans are referred to as roligans. The word "ro" means peaceful. Danish roligans drink a lot, sing a lot, wear outrageous hats, and are totally obnoxious and harmless. Sweden does have hooligans which is hard to believe if you know any Swedes. The german government has re-opened passport checks at the danish-german border.
Hope you have fun. Danish girls are very approachable, if you are sweet and open about yourself Drinking coffee, being cozy = have sex with me. Danes are very good at conversation which they use, oddly enough, to ask questions and find out about and get to know other people.
