I leave Monday for a trip to Dublin and then London – okay, this whole VAT is a tad confusing… let me see if i’ve got the gist of it – the easy way to do it is get a VAT check at the place you’re buying stuff at…get it stamped at customs at the airport… then go to a counter of one of those companies (global currency or cashback) and they’ll give you your money back or credit it to your credit card… i know you can fill out a form and have the money sent to you at home or get it back from the store itself – but it seems like the way i described is easiest…. am i right? any VAT advice?
