I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a question about entry into a Schengen country. I know as an American, I can enter and stay with a valid passport for 90 days as a tourist. My question is, once I leave the country, do I have to wait another 90 days to be able to reenter?? Any light on the subject would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks Smile

If you are a citizen of a country with no visa requirement to enter a Schengen member country, you can stay in the Schengen region for a maximum of 90 days per 6 months. So if you stayed for a total of 90 days(approx 3months) you can not stay again in the Schengen area for a further 3 months as staying there would mean you have over stayed. How ever if you stayed for lets say 30 days you can return at any point in the six month period for a further 60 days. The 6 month period is calculated from the date you first enter.
