Has anyone visited CERN (the physics research center with the particle collider) near Geneva? I couldn’t get a reservation for a guided tour of the particle collider (you usually need 1 month advance reservation), but I’m still thinking of going to the permanent exhibit, which is called Microcosm (http://public.web.ce…).

Does anyone have any opinions about this place? Is it like a science museum that’s aimed for little kids, or will adults also learn something interesting? Is it worth spending the whole day (or half day) there?

Thanks in advance!
