Want to go
Mon, 10/25/2004 - 08:07
I sit in my highschool drafting class and I wonder whats really out there for a person. To me my life which only consists up to my teens seems like I have already settled down and made something for myself in my sleepy town called Ann Arbor.
Since I was a kid I always wanted to travel and maybe live in a place like amsterdam and maybe start alittle cafe. I think all in all that would make for a perfect little change.
Does any one else feel like they need a change?

Giver hell man….DO what you dreamt i know i am right now….leave for europe in 3-4 days take it cool man
Yeah, Im tired of having to do these things that dont help me and just make me sick and tired of this place. In my little America there is nothing of a adventures taste. I think I should just travel the orld for alittle while. I have nothing holding me back.
Jaydude,
Picking up, moving to a new country, and opening a cafe is impossible for someone still in high school. You need money to invest, a visa to live in this new country, need to get over bureaucratic hurdles, need experience in opening up business.
HOWEVER
I totally support your dream to leave Michigan and travel. As a fellow midwesterner (Illinois), I know how boring it gets, and trust me, there’s so much world out there. You have so much time to go where you want to go. Start planning now. Participate in these boards. Research places you want to visit. Read up on Eurail. Consider a study abroad program through college. Consider backpacking for a summer. consider them both. Get some taste of Europe during your college years. Take those first steps, and eventually, you may be better able to come back and open up a cafe. Who knows?
Feel free to ask ANY quesstions.
I/we have so many resources for you!!!!
