The weekend is here
Fri, 08/10/2007 - 06:56
So what is everyone up to this weekend, more exiciting than me, just scanning my photos ‘pre digital days’ and the tv as noise in the background, it is meant to rain all weekend, don’t think I will be able to even walk my sister’s dogs, already looking forward to work on Monday!!!!
Got minor surgery and started a new job in this same week.
Will do some organizing of the house, organizing for the job, and some laying around watching DVDs.
Real exciting, I know.
What minor surgery have you had Cil, sounds intriguing
I’m going to be a New Orleans tourist tomorrow! My girlfriends parents are in town and we’re taking them down to look at the city. I’ve never given or taken a proper tour of the place (other than bourbon st.), so I’m going to see a few museums and bring the big camera. Not looking forward to the 110 heat index, but hopefully it will keep the beggars and hagglers off the streets. But what I’m really not looking forward to is the drive, it will likely consist mostly of ackward silence or Turkish (the parents speak very little english).
rob_co2,
I once thought that about a long drive with 2 retired brothers, who were both farmers, 6 hours and with no stereo, I laughed all the way, and they even bought me a good lunch, you might be pleasantly surprised (I hope)
hmmm..I’m not too hopeful. Cooked dinner for them the other night and it was rather quiet. I tried making a few comments/conversation starters, but anything complex and the g/f has to translate. They didn’t make any effort at all. Well, at least she and I can talk about pretty much anything we want.
Oh, and just realized there is a pre-season Saints game tonight, so I’ll add getting hammered at my fav sports bar to the weekend plans!
Hah, if being over the hill is intriguing…I got a basal cell carcinoma sliced out of my upper right forehead. Nine stitches.
Probably look more like the Bride of Frankenstein than Harry Potter.
I don’t know what the hell that is Cil, but I’m sure glad you got it out of your forehead!
heh
]
It’s skin cancer, not usually life-threatening, but you can’t let it linger, you have to chop it out. If not, you end up like this poor guy in wikipedia: link
Blondies like me who spend their reckless youth in the sun often end up dealing with it.
There was another woman new on the job. Yesterday she took one look at my bandaged forehead and said “So that’s what happens to newbies here?”[
oops! duplicate
rob_co2,
It just happens to be postyourgirlfriendspicture week.
Cil,
This only applies to real blondes.
Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, and end up getting charged double.
And watching Shogun right now on the internet. Tomorrow, buy food, watch the Saints practice if they’re back in time.
Might watch The Bourne Ultimatum
Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, and end up getting charged double.

Well it is the following weekend, and it has poured with rain most of the day, shit fight to get a car park at the supermarket, bottle store car park was empty at least, and scanning more photos, I think my working week was more entertaining, can’t wait to get into my nice warm bed, only thing to look forward to!!!!
