How much should a backpack weigh? Mine is currently at 22 lbs (about 10 or 11 kilos I think) . Is that too much?

Do you think you can handle that? It’s a tad heavy, but not that bad. I’ve definitely hauled more than that.

I think you can handle it. When I came back from my backpacking trip last summer, my pack checked in at Gatwick at 19 kilos (so 40+ lbs). Since it was at the end of my trip I didn’t care, but i’d never start off a trip with that much weight.

While this is a somewhat relative question (body size, etc), I don’t think 22 lbs. should be a problem for anyone. Of course, I once lugged around 40 kilos of stuff in my pack
