I am going to France&Italy for an 15 day trip with a friend and tentatively this is what my itinerary looks like:
(Excluding travel time from/to the origin)

March:
15th Morning – Arrive at Paris
15,16,17 – Paris
18 – Grenoble
19 and 20 – Rhone Alpes region (Need suggestions for specific places here)
21,22 – Provence (Here as well)

(Overnight train to Italy)

23,24,25 – Rome
26,27 – Cinque Terre
28,29 – Venice
30 – Fly back home

My itinerary is totally flexible, if anybody feels certain places ought to be removed off the list, I’m open to those suggestions as well. Thanks

What is there to see in Grenoble?

All I know is that it is the birthplace of Andre the Giant, so I’d kind of like to know more. (I am serious)

I agree with J&C, Florence is, in my opinion, a must. DOn’t know much about your France destination except Paris so I can’t comment. I’d do some research and compare those places to Florence and adjust your schedule accordingly. It all depends on your interests. Enjoy!
