You’ve probably been wiped out twice.  I joined a few years ago and after an upgrade some of the members posted that they had lost posts.  During this last upgrade, I lost about 1500.  The site is better though.

Those days are long gone. Andrew wasn’t spending much time here by 2000, even less by ’01. Then he sold the site.
It’s fun to reminisce but at this point I’d rather have the memories and the site upgrade than the thousands of posts.[]

I’d rather have the old site back and the large pub crew we had in those days 98/00… boris the lot !

who was the twit that used to post who crap his life was, his wife sucked and all that shit then she found the site and kicked his butt. CK was always funny as well. I’m sure I started posting in 1997. can’t believe it’s been 10 years, and nobody has killed jboy.

Both sites are a mess with little traffic in both pubs

CK was a really strange guy.
He sent me various emails under another username.
Some of the trips Boris went on sounded really interesting; seems like he pokes his head here every now and then but it’s probably been awhile.
People are not static, sometimes they change and go their separate ways.
Of course it’s cool when there is really good chemistry, but it does not always last.

It does last, you, me, eddie, I’d include hope buy she’s gone too

But you’re right, we’re in the second half of 2007 and many of us are still around after all this time.

Kiwi, that was HotHands. He was another interesting guy; he did post a lot of introspective, “thinking aloud” type stuff.
I think the username came from basketball rather than amour.

I think Sunskin has been active in the Oktoberfest forum.
Some are still around here, some just blog, some are still at Backpatters (the name taken after Backpackers expired.)

You probably lost some of your post during the first upgrade a few years ago.  Then in January you probably lost some.  I went from 1750 to about 300 during that upgrade.  I’ve posted about the bug in the code but…..
