Train or bus within England and Ireland will be cheapest and easiest. I would fly between England and Ireland and take Eurostar, the chunnel train between England and France. Flying may be cheaper than Eurostar, but it’s slower and certainly not “easier.” Within both France and Italy I would rely entirely on the train. Whether the train or flying is cheaper and/or easier between those two countries depends on which specific cities you choose to visit.

I’m planning on going to Europe for a month. I want to visit Madrid, Barcelona, Nice, Florence, Rome, Venice, Amsterdam, London, Paris, and then back to Madrid. Is that a good order/ itinerary for the amount of time? Also should I travel by train if so is the global pass the best deal?

I am leaving from new york, ny with $3000 for 27 days
Madrid, Barcelona, Nice, Florence, Rome, Athens, Venice, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Madrid
Requesting help with Transport, Hostels, Budget, Itinerary, Sights
I am leaving from Baltimore, md with $3500 for 25 days
Barcelona, Nice, Venice, Florence, Rome, Preveza, Prague, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona
I am leaving from Dulles and traveling for 12 days
Paris, Avignon, Florence, Rome, Paris

I don’t think a global pass is a good idea. You’re only visiting 3 countries (UK isn’t covered by a eurail pass) where you can use it and you might find bus a better option in Ireland which means you’d only use a pass in 2 countries. Further, I prefer not to use a railpass in Italy as I don’t think it saves enough money to be worth the reservations hassle. Look at a 3 country select or just a France pass. A global pass would be a huge waste of money if you’re only visiting the countries you’ve mentioned.
