Wanting to leave Cleveland,Toledo, maybe Detroit for London in March or April. I have been looking at ticket prices for the past 8 months(mainly for curiosity) and I have been told to wait until Jan before I buy. But I am still seeing the same $500 round trip prices that I saw in July. When do the prices start to drop?

Thanks.

Keep watching and waiting. Timing airline sales is an imperfect art (science?), but historically the best prices for March or April usually aren’t on sale until Jan. or Feb.

As long as you book 21 days advance you should be fine.

Keep in mind that April outbound puts you in "shoulder season" pricing which will be higher than low season—which means outbound by end of March for most airlines.

Also, where are you checking? I see seats available $422 total on US, CO, DL (425), and UA (431) from CLE, and $431 (UA) from Toledo. I used ITAsoftware.com month-long search and guessed your stay at 4-5 nights. You might find cheaper with a longer stay.

how much higher do shoulder season prices tend to be? i’m hoping to go to paris from los angeles in march or april. while march would be cheaper, april would be far more convenient. thanks.

March 31 is end of low-season pricing for most airlines between North America and Europe.
