When to get train tickets for tomato fight!
Fri, 07/21/2006 - 17:54
Since it will be very busy, should I get a train tickt now from Barcelona to Valencia for the tomato fight in Spain? Where can I do that? Also, I’ve heard from numerous people it’s almost not worth it to get a eurorail pass because it only gets you a discount. I am flying into Frankfurt on the 15th, staying with friends, going up to Amsterdam until about the 20th, taking eurorail from there to Brussels, taking a flight from Brussels to Rome (cost $40). From Rome takin train to Florence. Leaving Florence August 27th early in the morn. to head to Barcelona. From Barcelona to Valencia for the tomato fight! Can I get a cheaper pass than $400? Do you think it would be worth it? I’m so afraid I’m going to exhaust myself.
Thanks!
400 dollars? i paid like 250 american for 5 day travel.
but then again my countries were bordering
Try www.railsaver.com for a recomendation on which, if any, railpass is the best deal. Follow the "I know my itinerary" route and check "use a railpass only if it saves money." A railpass covers the base fare on virtually all trains. Express trains and specialty trains require a reservation and (rarely) a supplement which aren’t covered by a railpass. Railsaver.com uses base fare (without reservations or supplements) for comparisons.
Buy your tickets to/from the tomato fight (if you go point to point) or your reservations (if you use a railpass) as soon as you get to Europe.
