when to go to prague?

When is the best time to visit Prague? Was thinking of going during March, only because it is cheaper than going during May/June. What is an approximate price difference in airfare and hotel between these months? Would I enjoy the same experience if I were to save a few hundred and go in March rather than peak season? Thanks!
i’m actually planning a trip to prague in the first week in march. yeah, it will be cold, but it’s the only time i have open (i’m a grad student so i’m using my spring break to go to prague and probably one other city). there will be fewer tourists, cheaper prices, but it will be pretty cold. i

Hey, people..it’s does’t metter at what time u will visit Prague. U are going to PRAGUA! IT’S PRAGUE…aaa-a-a—aa….COOL city, COOL country. Im crazy about Pragua and people whos live in Cz.republic. U will full in love of that city as me!!!
I absolutely agree. Prague is a blast no matter when you go. If you go in March, you will no doubt have similiar experiences as if you went in peak season. Even better, the city will be less infested with tourists, making it easier for you to experience true Czech culture. Do not forget to have some beer!
My brother in law visited in March and he said that it was VERY cold, but imho his photos looked much more beautiful than mine when I visited in June – when he was there, they had snow and the snow on those red rooftops looked amazing!
Go for it! The beer will always warm you up!
We went to this great beer garden in Prague. One of the locals told us about it. It was great because there did not seem to be any other Americans there. The beer was as good as Munich, and the food was great. Both days we met some great looking Czech girls there.I can’t remember the name, but it was in the the south east corner of the park behind the train station.That would be east of the station.
I just got back from Prague (IN AUG) and it is a very nice city but there were WAY too many tourists. I spoke to locals about it and there are in many ppls opinions too many tourists all year but I would rather have spent my time there in the lowest season possible. Don’t let the weather decide, just bring a jacket and some gloves. There is no reason you really have to be in the elements to get around more than a few mins at a time in Prague anyway because there is excellent and cheap public transport plus the place is packes with shops, pubs, resteraunts etc. on every street. I would go with the cheapest(= lowest season) time possible for more than just the savings
