When is least expensive to go to Italy?

I would like to take my 9 year old daughter to Italy sometime in the next year, when is the best time to go pricewise? Does anyone know the best places to stay…kid friendly?

The best time price-wise is probably January, sometime after the Jan. 6 holiday ends the Christmas rush. But that probably wouldn’t work with a child who goes to school.

How long is your trip? What places do you want to go? What are your minimum requirements for accommodation (e.g. do you need a private bath, etc.)?
