Where are good places to go
Mon, 11/15/2004 - 14:32
Hi
My name is Janice and I am from Canada. I am planing on going away in 2006 to backpack. Where are some must see places and must see things? I was also wondering what is the best way to get around and the cheapest way to get around? Thanks
What do you want to do? Surely you have some idea.
Europe is not much different than Canada for getting around. We have buses and trains and taxi’s too
There is plenty of info on this site about that.
Okay, I’ll bite.
first off, where you go and what you do depends entirely upon:
1) How much time you have
2) How much money you have
3) What your interests are
If you hate big cities, I wouldn’t recommend spending lots of time in places like London and Paris. On the other hand, if you’re a city girl, I would. If you enjoy lounging on the beach, I’d probably recommend places in Eastern Europe or Spain or Greece, but not places like Germany and Holland.
So, in order to get useful and specific advice from people on this board, you’ll have to do a little bit more research yourself and come up with better questions…othewise it’s quite difficult for anyone to help you.
Keep in mind, the train is usually popular, but depending on your interests, some big jumps from city to city can save lots of time and money with some cheap flights with Ryan Air or some others. Maybe someone can give you a suggestion a to some airlines to check into. Virgin Air might also have some cheap flights.
Of cacuse to use cheap air flights to arrive to Europe! And if u want realy save $,u have to hichhike, or use smth like that site http://europe.bugrid…
And of cause u have to decided wth ur trip!
