Where do I start?? PLEASE HELP!!
Thu, 07/16/2009 - 22:32
Well my friend and I want to plan a trip to Europe for next summer (2010) and we dont know where to start. We love to party at clubs and consume mass amounts of alcohol and herb. We know we want to hit Amsterdam for at least 3 days but dont really know where else to go. We heard that Munich is a pretty crazy town as well. We also want to explore and see cool stuff during the day and tear it up at night. We were looking to about for about 2-3 weeks. Where is the cheapest place to fly in at?? We are leaving from Tampa, FL on a budget of about 2,500. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! THANK YOU!!!
I am leaving from Tampa, FL with $3000 for 30 days

I would recommend that you start putting your trip in the Trip Planner. It will give you a better idea of the ground you are covering, if you budget and trip plans are feasible and will give the community a better understanding of what your constraints are.
In regards to cheap flights from Tampa, maybe check/ask in the cheap flights forum.
I really enjoyed Munich. I have not been to Amsterdam, but I am sure you will have fun there. If you are looking for more of a party scene, you may want to checkout the nightlife forum.
If you are going to be in Amsterdam, Bruges is pretty close and I have heard good things about it (more from a scenic perspective than a party perspective).

Okay so we’ve come up with a time frame of when we want to go as well as the must see places and how long we want to spend in each city/country. Do you guys think that we are rushing the trip or is this route possible? what about the time in each city?We plan on using the eurorail. What are some things that we need to see in these locations? Thanks in advance for your input!! PLEASE HELP!!!

It’s a do-able trip…I think 36 days would be more appropriate though

If we wanted to cut out a city, which would probley be the one to cut?? Venice? Brussels??

Cut Brussels…Brussels is beautiful old City, especially the main square, but you’ll get your fill of this in Prague, Paris, etc.
Venice is one of the most unique cities in the world and definitely worth a visit

bro you guys r planning the same trip i want to do for next summer 2010.
i wanna hit up the netherlands goto some parties. then hit up ibiza possibly portugal for boom fest. but need hel trying to figure this out and im kind of goin alone on the trip.

Massive consumption of herbs (meaning hemp) and alcohol is very typical of Prague, today maybe even more than Amsterdam. It is not rare to see people smoking joints at bus stops. Just to let you know when assigning days of stay to each city.
If you have any questions about Prague or Czech and Slovak republics, ask me.
If you only want to search train or bus connection within Czech&Slovakia and/or to neighboring countries, use www.cp.sk or www.idos.cz search engines. For domestic transport, they also show prices.
There are a lot of things that you also have to take into consideration when you are booking your trip. As I see it you are flying into Amsterdam on a Monday. If you really want to party in Amsterdam do you want to do it on a Mon-Tues-Wed… or would you like to be there on a good Fri or Sat night? I’ve had a lot of fun mid week in many places, but I think some places had more energy on the weekends.
Traveling from city to city is an adventure in itself. The longer trips will take up a good amount of time. Some of the longer distances will take up an entire night or day in just packing/walking/traveling to your next destination. A lot of times more cities isn’t always better.
I like a lot of the places that you’ve got are notorious for partying. I’ve been to Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Munich, and Prague…. the only city where we didn’t party real hard was Paris. I didn’t have a bad time at any of those locations.
Some of my favorite times have been in Belgium, and the best beer that I’ve ever had was when we were partying there. Bruges was a cool spot to chill and re-charge.
If you’ve got any questions feel free to ask.
