Where to go?!
Thu, 12/30/2010 - 22:47
Hey all!
Here’s the deal, I live in Toronto, I’ve been in Canada for three years now, I’m from Ireland.
My fiancee and I are looking to take a two week vacation (well really three, but we’re spending a week in Dublin).
I’ve been so many places I can’t decide where to go.
He would really like to see Germany and France.
But I want to travel a lot in the two weeks and I have no idea where to start, where to make sure I go!
Anyone with tips or favourite places you’ve been, please help me!

Just an idea:
I am assuming you are flying in and out of Dublin?
You could take a plane to Berlin, train your way south and west through Germany, finishing with Alsace, then delve into France (Strasbourg is very nice), dip down into Dijon, perhaps the Loire Valley, and fly home from Paris.
If I read your post correctly, your fiancee wants to go to France and Germany, while you have no preferences. It sounds like you have your answer.
Both France and Germany have a lot to see; you won’t come close to seeing everything there in only two weeks.
Madrid, Toledo
Dublin, Dingle, Dublin
Bruges, Ardennes, Bastogne, Brussels
London
Charleville-Mézières, Reims
