Help guys!

Last night I bought a flight to Geneva out of the blue for early Sept! But now I’m having some trouble figuring out where to go. I love Switzerland, been there twice already, and there are still so many places I want to see that I just can’t pick so I need your help!

I fly in to Geneva, I’ll have to stay there on the night before my flight because it’s kind of early, so I want to stay elsewhere first and save Geneva for last. One day is enough there right? I was thinking about Zermatt for two nights or maybe Grindelwald? Which is better? For mountain viewing and for the town itself? Is one more comercial than the other? This is what I’m comaparing it with: I love Lucerne (been there, so I’d like to try somewhere new this time) but I especially love that it isn’t so commercial, not like Interlaken anyway. Interlaken was nice, but I didn’t feel like any real people lived there, at least not in the new part of town where all the hotels are. I’d like to stay somewhere that doesn’t seem so tourist oriented, but that is also not out of the way. It has to have a train station in town too.

Then I’d like to go to the Italian region. Does any one know what Lugano is like? Is it as beautiful as I think it is? How is the town itself? Are there any other towns that are in that area, on the train line, that are nicer than Lugano?

Also, if anyone has been to some really outstanding hostels in any of these locations, or recommended locations, I’d really appreciate hearing about them. All the Swiss hostels that I’ve stayed at have been really great, so I figure anything I find is pretty much a sure thing? But having said that, are there any ones I should watch out for? Really great or really bad?

Thanks guys! I’m counting on you!
