Here’s what you should know:

1. 11 days is not much time. Pick a region and stick to it or you will spend most of your time travelling. 3 countries is far too much. You could probably do either a) Greece, b) a few parts of Switzerland and northern Italy, or c) some variation thereof.

2. Go to the bookstore and read some guidebooks. Once you have specific places in mind, post your questions here. It’s hard to recommend places when people don’t know any of your interests. Maybe post some of those.

Greece and Italy are good but if I were you i would chose spain and not switzerland it’s much cheaper over there and since you are taking the trip at summer time spain should be much more fun than switzerland.
this way you can take train start at greece take a train to Italy from there take a train to spain and you can also make a stop at France.

Train from Greece to Italy?? Then to Spain – all in 11 days? Nice try.

You could easily spend 11 days in EACH of the countries mentioned, and I would say it’s next to impossible to visit all three. I say either devote more time (say, 1 month) or pick one. If you like the Great Outdoors, pick Switzerland. If you like history and cities, pick Italy. If you like the beach, pick Greece.

Hello Peterparker22, 11 days is not much time, and you want to cover a lot of real estate. You could look at this two ways; 1: get a rail pass and a Thomas Cook time table and see how many trains stations you can see. 2: Pick 2-3 citys and plan around them as a hubs for sight seeing. Travel between the citys could be rail or air. The first city should be the one you land in, and the last should be the one you fly home from. An open jaw ticket would be needed for this.

You can not change your plans if you do not have one.

Ok, here’s my suggestion. You are definitely trying to pack too much in, although i myself once did Paris, Berlin, and Budapest in a matter of 12 days. But I recently went to Europe and this time had three weeks, and only devoted myself to Italy. For you, I’d recommend getting a Lonely Planet or Eyewitness Guide Book (also Let’s Go), and just doing Italy and Swizterland. I went to Como, Aosta VAlley, Chamonix (France), Cinque Terre, Florence, and from there you could shoot over to Venice or down to Rome and the Amalfi Coast, or you could go from Florence up to Switerland. All by train. I agree that guidebooks and a map, and sites like these — all will help you better plan a trip. This is exciting — good luck!

EVERYWHERE! Although not at once. Pick only a few destinations and fill in activities around them. You will wreck your trip if you try to cram too much into the trip.

Pick the place you want to go most and fly into there. As for the rest, your priorities will change when you get there. People often plan too much ahead and force themselves into schedules they won’t want. As so many people here will tell you, its not worth cutting places short to squeeze more places in.
