I am planning my first trip to Europe for next spring. I do not have an exact itinerary at this time. My rough plan is to do a circular loop – Netherlands – Germany – Italy – France – Belgium. I don’t want to rush myself. I’m planning for about one month in Italy, and approx. one month for the other countries combined. I’ve read that point to point tickets are relatively cheap in Italy. Is this true? Would it make sense to use a two month flexi pass for the other countries, and buy point to point tickets for a month in Italy? I will be travelling alone, and do not qualify for any youth discounts. Any advice appreciated.
