When Eurotrip got it’s new look (as of Jan. 3/07 — you’ll see that’s your joined date, as it is for everyone who was a member prior to the new updated site), all of the old post counts seem to have gone with the old look.  So if you haven’t posted in 2-3 years, then you post count was probably almost all wiped out.  Your listed as a new member since you only have 6 posts.

The curious thing is the inconsistency in the loss of posts.  As of Jan 3, I had an actual total of about 1700 posts.  I lost about 1350 down to 350.  Different people lost different percentages of posts.  It’s supposed to be looked into.
 
The assignment of stars is different too.  You get to a level of stars quicker than before also.  Used to be 50 for one star, now you start with one, etc.

I think all posts made before some date (maybe late in 2003???) were lost.  I lost relatively few and I think it’s because I didn’t have many before the “magic” date.  

Yeah, I didn’t lose any, since i’ve only been around since sometime in 2004 I believe???

I see. That makes things clearer. But the strange thing is that I can still find old posts of mine from 2001 by doing a search. So obviously not everyone’s old posts were deleted.

 
It’s not a matter of posts being deleted, it’s a matter of the “mechanism” that keeps up with the amount of posts not working correctly.  Somewhere in the code for this new site, the number of posts wasn’t carried over.  There was an update after I joined that didn’t lose my posts.
