We will be spending the early part of November in the Netherlands starting in Amsterdam and looking for the off-beat and unusual. All gags aside, We’ve been to Amsterdam before so we don’t want to spend all of our time there…what/where else would be fun, out of the way, unusual, quirky, adventurous?
What to do in the Netherlands during this time of year?
Homestays?
Best small towns?
Highest mount’n, uh, I mean longest dike?
How to stay in the countryside and not in the cities? On the internet and in the travel books all I ever see are accomodations in cities…how about smaller towns and out in the country?
I figure most museums will be open in the major cities (let me know if I am wrong) but what else is there to do? We love the outdoors, parks (natural, national, & amusement
but at that time of year won’t it be too cold/rainy? If not, what are the best parks to visit/stay in?
Thanks much,
timetraveler
