i know that there isn’t a country in europe that actually is warm in the winter months (as far as i know anyway) but which country(ies)aren’t "too bad" in either january of february exluding the u.k.? i’m trying to plan my route starting with countries that aren’t all that freezing to ending around countries where the weather will be "nice" (probably hungary or czech republic). thank you!

In Rome in January, I found I could get along with just a long-sleeved shirt by the afternoon. However, after I returned home there were some colder days, and even snow for a few minutes. But Italy, particularly the south of Italy, would be a likely spot for relative warmth. I’m sure parts of Spain and Greece would be good too.
