There used to be a guy, who at least once in awhile, would post here on his beloved Oktoberfest forum. He loved bier, and has not missed an O-Fest in many moons. His name was Chris… Has anyone seen him?? Is he still alive??

the wife is taking me to the vodkafest in Moscow during this time! 
I had a 5 year streak going for O-fest… oh well see y’all in ’07. If anyone stops by Vienna I will take you to the brewpubs.

That is why my plan is one of deception & bribery(I am paying for a new dress and her HOU trip, etc.) , even if "stretching" the truth a bit. I have a two day business trip in Atlanta, so I am extending it (by 5 days), and sneaking-off on a direct ATL to MUC flight. Heck, the wife will be in Houston, TX – at a family wedding much of that week any way, so I might as well leave my empty house, and make it O-Fest # 11!!!
That’s right, eleven! I re-calculated, after thinking all-along that this was number 10. However, if you count the weekend trips in 1985 & 86 (U.S. Military/Stuttgart), then the following years:
97, 98, 99, 00, 01, 03, 04, 05, (06) – that makes eleven! I only missed 02 for my wedding. I might never catch Sir Tony B., as he is going-on # 15, but I am getting toward the "Elite Club" status!
