Hi all, I was wondering how hard it is to find work in England, be it any type. I’ve heard that there are live-in jobs as bartenders, and that they are pretty easy to get. Is that true?

Also, should I try my luck in London at all or should I check out other cities in the UK?

Thanks, I appreciate it!

PS. One last question, how is it backpacking solo? Especially for a girl?

As long as you have got the right permits to work in London, you should have no problems getting work in a pub, check out www.gumtree.com , there are loads of live in pub work advertised here, or every Monday, pick up the TNT magazine (it’s free) from outside the tube station, there are loads of jobs in that.
As for a female travelling alone, do a search on this site, this subject had been mentioned before and there has always been loads of positive feedback
