Hello everybody-
mmmm let’s see. I am currently living in Austria. I have a wife and a 2 yr old son. I am American and my wife is Austrian. I work seasonally, mostly at room cleaning, kitchen help, and food service in hostels and mountain huts. Honestly, my german is not so good, so those types of jobs are pretty much what is available to me. We have been toying with the idea of relocating to Ireland. My wife is a kindergarten teacher now but has worked as an aupair before, so she is thinking of getting back into that. I on the other hand am not quite sure what I will do, so I thought I would put out the feelers on this forum and see what comes back to me. I would like to stay in the tourist biz, but maybe work in more of an up-front position as I speak english.
Back in the day, when I first started to travel around, this forum was a great source if information and inspiration for me. Later on after I was married it even became a great resource for job hunting (we scored a job at a guesthouse in Scotland, for the both of us, ALL via this website!).
So now that I’ve decided to start looking for people to network with in Ireland this seemed like the natural place to go. If anybody has any advice or knows of an opportunity in the future I would love to hear from you!
Thank you.
Jeremy
