well just like the title says i am….but me and sum friends…including my g/f lol are planning on backpacking threw europe. i was lookin at eurotrip.com and found busabout…anyone ever heard of it? well i was thinkin bout buying all 3 loops and traveling all over europe…dont really have a time frame set..lookin at getting there june 1st…at least a month though….gues my main questions are…..
1. how much money..in dollars plz…do u think i need?
2. how dangerous is backpacking threw europe for a bunch of 19 yr olds
3. what arrangements should i make before getting there
4. any other info u find neccisary?
First off, yes many people have heard of busabout, and many have also used it.
If you plan on doing the entire 3 loops of the busabout network, you will need way more than a month. I would say 2 months atleast.
1) It all depends on what you plan on doing. It also depends on where your flying from.
2) It’s not dangerous at all. It’s probably safer than the US. I went to Europe the first time at 17, so don’t worry about that.
3) Book your flight, buy your bus pass, and book your first nights hostel. If you want a more flexible trip than, you can book the rest of you accomadations as you need them. It’s best to book a few days in advance to be sure you get a bed.
4) You may also look into buying a Eurail train pass. Then your not confined to the busabout network. You can travel to other places if you wanted to.
hey nivid i really appreciate it…..where all does the eurorail go? sry if thats a stupid question but up till yesterday i thought backpacking threw europe was sumthin only a lucky few got to do….but i realized a lot more people do it then i thought
my main goal that i want to achieve is just getting all the experiences that r going to come from this trip….i just want to be able to say to my children and grandkids that….i went there…i saw this and that…i want to be able to tell them that i had to work for sum farmer for a day to get sum extra cash haha i just want those memories and experiences which would all come to me from seeing the world
maybe im just being immature but ive always wanted to see the world cuz im an ancient history nerd lol but i do apprecitate all the help u could give me…..and i plan i spending the summer in europe so i think thats like 2 months

Also if u know your itinerary, u can use www.railsaver.com to get an estimate in money and what ticket to buy.

forget busabout…just go where you want when you want. There is no railroad called the "eurorail"…the eurail pass simply entitles you to travel on whatever local railways that participate as much as your pass allows.
