Your favourit time of the year
Sat, 02/25/2006 - 16:51
If you’d leave any time of the year, for one month to europe what time would that be?
I’m thinkin about the weather aswell as prices and less/more people.
Im trying to get a picture of the time I will leave. I love parties aswell as culture. Is june a bit to earlie if one of your goals is to meet new people(alot)?
Cheers

Spring or Fall. Prices are higher in summer, it can get very hot, and it’s way more crowded. If you’re looking for crowds to meet people, though, mid June – mid August is your best bet.
April or May are my favorite times. Not terribly crowded, good prices, great weather. If you want to meet lots of people however, and don’t mind the crowds, go in the summer.
I agree with Buckley with April and May. Mind you I travelled through Spain and Portugal mid June early July, and they still weren’t out swimming, and yet we found it very warm
i think june or september..but for aussies its still cold
ur from sweden arent u…so it should be like summer for u …lol
so u can pack lightly and get a tan!
we will continue to shake and shiver and enjoy the sights!
july is very hot in greece and august is even worse
Okey, thank you all for the great answers, I guess June is mkay. I want like 80-90 but w/e. I guess lower degrees is good for my diabetes. Southern Greece is hot like 24/7 so ill get my tan there,
tack och hej!
In Italy, there is no better month than May. Amazing colors, perfect temperature, not too crowded and very reasonably priced.

I’ve been to Europe in March, July and August, but I think my favorite time would be either May or September. Warm, but not hot weather, would be nice, as well as fewer tourists.
Gernally, I’d say this: if I was tour Europe, then it really wouldn’t matter, as long as the weather is good. So, anytime from April through October.
But if I was going to spend time on a beach destination in southern Europe, then I would make it July/August. It’s more espensive, but to me, it’s the people and the noise that make summer.
