Zurich to Prague
Thu, 02/04/2010 - 06:20
What is the fastes/ cheapest way to get from Zurich to Prague?
I had a look at arifares and they seem to be quite expenisve ( around 400 euros).
Thanks
I am traveling for 30 days

Flight: www.germanwings.com 75 CHF connecting you via Cologne. Otherwise, trains looks at least 9h, 20m.
Flying’s probably the best option. However, since the cheap one involves a connection, you’ll probably be spending a minimum of 6 1/2 hours (counting flight time, connection time, getting to/from airports, check-in time, security time) getting there. A flight won’t necessarily save much time and it will probably kill an entire day for sightseeing.
There’s a direct overnight train on this route. Bahn.de shows specials as low as 29 euros:
http://reiseauskunft… Also check the Swiss national rail company website: http://fahrplan.sbb….?
Is there a reason you need to make this specific trip? Why did you choose Zurich as a stop?
Apart from flying, the fastest and cheapest route from Zurich to Prague is an overnight bus.
Zürich,,Carparkplatz am Sihlquai 18:30
Praha, Florenc 5:00
Carrier: www.csad-tisnov.cz
Price: about 57 EUR
Zürich,,Carparkplatz am Sihlquai 19:30
Praha, Florenc 5:30
Price: 36 to 53 EUR
Carrier: www.studentagency.cz
If you have any questions about Prague or Czech and Slovak republics, ask me.
If you only want to search train or bus connection within Czech&Slovakia and/or to neighboring countries, use www.cp.sk or www.idos.cz search engines. For domestic transport, they also show prices.
Friend and I are going for two weeks. We are arriving to Amsterdam, then going to Melbourne, Prague and then Zurich.
But we might go to UK instead of Prague.
We’ve chosen Zurich as we have some friends/ relatives living there.
We are pretty much looking for the best partying places.
We have some friends/relatives in Zurich.
But it seems like we might drop Prague and go to UK instead.
We have to weeks in Europe and we pretty much wanna party for most of the time.
So we are looking for the best partying places.
Other than Zurich we are going to Amsterdam and probably Berlin.
Branka: You’ll get better answers if you post this as a new thread under “night life” or “favorite places.” The “transport” forum if for questions/advice on getting from city to city.
