This is what my trip is going to end up looking like. I have my plain ticket leaving from Philly on May 22nd to Munich. I’m about to get the rail pass but I just wanted to make sure that the global pass would be the best for me. I’m still working on some of this but let me know what you guys think. I had to cut my trip down to 2 month instead of three.
This a good trip. Very comfortable. I would cut a few days in Vienna though — you may be bored. Also, realize that there isn’t much good accommodation in Venice that is affordable. I would do two days there. Budget looks good as well as rail pass.
You’ll have a great summer
I have family in Vienna, that’s why I’m staying there that long but other then that I’m going to add a day or 2 to some places and maybe add one more place…we’ll see. i just need to figure out what i am doing and some of the day trips i will be taking. I’ll probably have a good day by day plan in a week or two but i know i’ll probably go off of it once i get there.
So I started my adventure. I made it to Munich without a problem and now it is time to have some fun. good-luck to anyone else traveling at this time!
So i know i got back from my trip a while ago but i just needed to say that it was amazing. my plans did change here and there but that’s what backpacking is all about. If anyone has any questions about budgeting or anything with any of the places i was at feel free to ask. Sorry it took so long to get back to this website but i had a lot of stuff to do when i got back, dealing with school and work, it’s slowing down a little bit but now i’m trying to figure out where i’m going next summer!
Exactly! The spontaneous is usually the best time. Glad you had a great time — its just he beginning. Next time give the Balkans a shot; serbia, bosnia, bulgaria, croatia… some of my favorite.
