We will be arriving in Frankfurt and departing from there as well. Just like every trip we do we will be train hopping with Eurail 3 month unlimited Global Pass. The only place we will be going for sure is Latvia.
The places we enjoy the most are smaller villages etc where you get to meet the real people and their culture. Any help with this type of place would be appreciated. Any help on Latvia would really help. To get there we are going by ferry from Stockholm to Riga, but are stuck in regards to getting back to Germany or any country that accepts Eurail.
Our budget is seperate from Airfares or Eurail, which are already paid for.

Any other idea’s of where you want to go?, try adding some in the trip planner to give yourself and us a better idea.
Thanks for your reply. We tend to train hop , but one plcae we would like to visit is Latvia, to which we have never been. We enjoy the southern parts of Europe like Austria, Switzerland etc. We are opened to anywhere in Europe. We know this is very vague, but as we travel to Europe every 2 years, whe are looking for out of the way places that may have stuck in peoples minds.
Since you have been to europe, maybe you could help me out. We are arriving Nov 27th, 2009 and leaving Dec 20th, 2009. We are focusing on Germany, Poland, Czech, Austria, Swiss, Netherlands (Bex region), and bit of france. Any suggestions on small cities or villages that get overlooked? Anything good in the alps to stay? And We are planning on catching a football game in the German League. Can you help me out? Thanks
Thanks for your reply. Acouple of smaller places to go which will blow your mind are as follows… St Goar Germany Lubeck Germany
I would try and get to Jungfrau Mt in Switzerland which is the highest point in Europe, and always has heaps of snow. If you stay in Munich Germany you can do lots of day trips by train to lots of small and interesting villages.
My only other advice would be that as you are limited by time, try and concentrate on a smaller number of countries, otherwise you will burn out very quickly and not be able to appreciate any place to its fullest potential.
Hopes this helps. Cheers
Thanks a lot. The information will be of great help!
