Fifey's Eurotrip Pt. 2: Scandinavia

So here’s the second leg of my trip. (part one is here). After heading back to the U.K. to work for a while, I want to go traveling around the mainland again, this time to Scandinavia. I have very little idea of where to go, so some detailed opinions about Scandinavia would be very welcome.

This trip plan is rather much a wishlist- I fear I may not have enough money to go on such an extensive trip around such an expensive part of the world.

I have also just read that the last ferry from the UK to Norway was discontinued in September. I am rather disappointed; traveling by ship to Scandinavia was one of the things I was most looking forward to. Is there a rail+ferry alternative? Or maybe a ferry to Sweden?
