Just would like some feedback on whether this trip looks not only doable but fun. Thanks in advance.
Each person will have $1,000 to $1,500
We are 4 guys ages from 20-24 that are looking to party almost every night in different parts of Europe we will def. need to go to Vienna do to the fact we are going to see DJ Tiesto on the 13th. I have been to Amsterdam for 3 days before but have never traveled between different countries. I dont know anything about eurorail passes or hostels. Would love to know more about what to do to have a ton of fun partying but keep the trip safe and smooth. Thank you again!
You’re covering too much area in 10 days, for sure.
I would cut out Hamburg and one more city to make your trip a bit more feasible.
Well Vienna and Amsterdam are in the cards for sure. Other than that I am open. What would you suggest?
*I cut out Hamburg and spread the other 2 days over in Munich and Prague.
Did you already book your flight and get an amazing deal on a flight into Copenhagen or something? It doesn’t seem like it’s worth it otherwise for the amount of time you’re spending there. I’d cut another city, Munich seems a good candidate given that you’ve only allotted one day for it.
yah I already booked the flight and got a fat deal. hmm I know its short but just wanted to see a few spots and have some fun.
If your 9 days includes your flights to and from NYC, then I’d limit it to 2 places. Since your choices are Amsterdam and Vienna — those two with some day trips. When, after 2 hours, you get bored in Vienna, hop a train or bus to Bratislava. You can also do day trips to Salzburg, and Innsbruk.
If you 9 days is actually on the ground, find a flight or take an overnight train from Amsterdam to Munich and spend 2 days there. Leave Munich in the early morning, spend the day in Salzburg, and then continue on your way to Vienna.
Interesting, if I didn’t want to go to Vienna what sounds good to you?
Bratislava, (1 hour from Vienna) Budapest, Prague. There are others who love Vienna, but I found it very unfriendly — maybe because I understand enough German to know what was being said about obviously American me, my Chinese and my obviously Jewish traveling companions.
Are you flying in and out of Copenhagen? That really makes it tough to get to anyplace but Scandinavia because the distances are long and there are very few budget airlines serving Scandinavia.
Yah my friend has family there.
I would agree with Oldlady — Vienna never really appealed to me. Prague would be a nice alternative.
I would agree, Bratislava is a better bet than Vienna in terms of price and nightlife. You can always take a day trip to Vienna.
I re did the itinerary, just trying to see if this is feasible or not. Thanks.
