OMG you HAVE to be in Paris on the 14th if you will be there that long and in July!! Bastille day is not to be missed! It’s amazing and totally makes up for missing the 4th of July at home.

maybe start at the end of june (like a week earlier than what’s on here) and go through end of july instead of beginning august? Rome is ungodly hot in the summer and august is the worst part! Plus everyone in europe starts going on vacation in August and the city will be filled with tourists and no locals then.

Looks good. You may even be able to add another Italian city and cut a day from Venice and Rome. Maybe Siena from Florence.

I wouldnt do paris for 11 days. there is a lot to see but u could probably do most to all of it in 6 days. with those extra days id go to barcelona. book a flight for about 15 euros on ryanair.com and then once done in barcelona fly into venice for another 15-30 euros depending on the day. I did EVERYTHING in paris in 6 days. skip Mouling Rouge, its expensive for what i got from it. i think i paid 80 euros in 2006. thats enough for the flight to and from barcelona and maybe a one night stay at a hostel or something, for both of u. while in paris make sure u visit le chateau des six femmes (chenonceau) in the loire valley as well as giverny and versailles. dont do d’orsay and la louvre in the same day or ull feel overwhelmed and lose alot of the culture by being around tourists all day.

i have one questions, whats drawing u to wickow, ireland vs dublin or any other city in ireland? what do u plan on doing while in ireland. ur itinerary is very similar to ours.

sorry for not writing back eurotrip was totally the last thing on my mind in these past few months….umm our whole thing has changed money situations and everything so i just have to like re plan you know…so about wicklow ireland umm its where the film p.s. i love you was made and it just has some beautiful scenery. we are not looking for like party central we are looking for like the beautiful irish countryside and then i think we will head to dublin…but we want to spend a lot of time in the country. thanks for the advice about paris, when we go in the winter we are only going to be there for like 4 days or so, so i have to really cut down, like were only going to paris, i am going to try and go to versaille, because its my dream, but who knows. we now have 3 people going, mona, myself and our friend holly, we are going to london and paris, we will probably be gone for 10 days total. im slightly bummed about not going to all places we wanted to go but its london and paris so im still very excited i hope your trip goes along with out any hitches.

Paris and London in 10 days is a good amount for both cities. That’ll give you about 4-5 days in each place, plus a day trip from one or both could be worked in. (Stonehenge, Versailles, etc)
I highly recommend Versailles if you get a chance, although I’m not sure how great the gardens will be in the winter (they were my favorite part, but I was there in July). The palace is lovely, particularly the Hall of Mirrors, but I really enjoyed Marie Antoinette’s separate buildings the most out of all the buildings (Petit et Grand Trianons, her peasant village which has real animals like donkeys, goats, cows; etc).

I think that would be a good amount. I’m taking around $1200-1300 for two weeks travel this fall.
Versailles hardly even counts as a day trip really, from Paris. You only have to take the commuter train (RER) from central Paris and it takes about half an hour. The palace and grounds themselves will take about half a day, but you will still be back in Paris by dinner if you go early enough. Also, if you buy your ticket at a FNAC store in Paris you don’t have to wait in line, although I’m not sure the lines in Dec would be quite so bad that you’d need to buy in advance. In the summer it’s a must though!

I’m going to London in a few weeks so I’ll be sure to let you know what I find while I’m there
