Notes:
-Flight is set, arriving Madrid and flying from London
-Only in London to fly home
-Debating Antibes vs. Nice, seems Antibes is cheaper to sleep in. Would day trip to Nice if sleeping in Antibes.
-Too much flying? Trying to cut down on travel costs & more difficult to get to Greece and Croatia. No ferries. Barcelona-Athens via Vueling. Dubrovnik-London via easyjet
-Priorities: great scenery, beaches, archeological sights and ruins, some museums (especially with statues and modern art), nightlife (though not every night).
-Been to Italy before, so I know that part of the itinerary will work fine.

2 Ideas
Thanks for the ideas. I think we are set with just Santorini. I hopefully will be back to tour Greece in the future to see more islands, and we just want to relax on the beach for several days to break up the big cities.
Madrid is really only four days, not 5. (Our overnight flight is the first day). We are planning on at least 1 day trip to either Toledo or Segovia- any opinions on which is better? So that’s down to 3 days in Madrid, and the first day we will be jet-lagged (and possible later, it took me 3 days to adjust last time I was in Europe, hoping it is quicker this time!) and there seems like a lot to do…. maybe we go to Barcelona earlier.
Granada does look amazing. It was in our original itinerary. I guess it’s something to think about adding or going there if we are bored in Madrid.
Otherwise, how does the pace look?
I would take a look at Toledo — a very cool city for a day. And, yeah, you’re right, probably won’t have time for Barcelona.
Have you gotten accommodation in Santorini yet? Very expensive in the summer!
Cool- Toledo does look great. I think we’ll plan on spending a day there.
I do have a recommendation for accommodation in Santorini from a friend- 60 euro per night for a triple. Sounds like a great value for us at 20 euro per person per night. We just booked our flights this past Monday, so I am thinking I should book up this place ASAP since we would like to stay there. It’s a little far from town, but there is a bus stop (plus, we don’t mind walking) and my friend highly recommended it.
Thanks for your advice!
