This is just a rough draft of a plan. I am planning to do Cinqe Terra in Italy, Croatia Sailing trip and the Greek islands. I also want to go see the Gallopoli Penisula in Turkey. I just haven’t put them in yet.
I haven’t got a confirmed date yet, I will probably be leaving June/July. Any ideas on Itenerary would be awesome. If I can I want to see a bit more of Germany and if I can a bit of switzerland.
you are covering a lot of ground and germany and switzerland are kind of out of the way, but if you have time/money then anything is feasible.
i have not been to a lot of the places you are going. i loved florence though. i have read in many places on the forums that madrid is worth skipping. i have also heard that people love granada.
looks like a fun trip.
Yeah, I keep reading that madrid really is not that good. So I will probably be skipping it. I have about 3 months. So I have a fair amount of time. Its rather ambigous, but it should be fun. For some reason, the site woudn’t let me add the rest.
I kind of want to end up in Germany for Oktoberfest at the end of it all.
Spain, Italy, Czech, Hungary, Greece and Turkey are definite musts for myself on this trip.
OK I’ve updated my trip with dates and what not. I am really keen to do the Croatian Coast. But I’m not sure whether or not to do a organised cruise. Or just island hop on a ferry. Has anyone done either of these and what are your recommendations? There is also a place in Croatia that has some amazing lakes and waterfalls not far from Zadar. I am just wondering if it may be easier to go down to dubrovnik first and work my way up. or the other way around. Any suggestions?
What about after? Should I stick to the coast and go up through slovenia? and go to Hungary/Prague/Poland?
Cheers for the advice.
Also I have to be back in England for Reading Festival on the August weekend.
And I made a thread about the schengen visa, that no one has replied to….as I have already been there (first date of entry was 15th Feb). The 180 days will have finished just after Spain. Is this going to be a problem – and will I have to fly back or Go to a place like Andorra and reenter the zone?
Cheers for any advice.
i heard that its a max of 90 days in schengen zone…uk/ireland/montenegro and some others wont count against you if you go there…after 90 days you need a visa. thats all i know tho, sorry if its not much help =/
